Updated Update on Change to Two-Way Traffic

The following was received from Doug Nelson at the Department of Public Works:
----------------------------------
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

RE: Kutzky Streets to Change from One-Way to Two-Way Traffic

Where: Center Street , 1st Street North , and 2nd Street North between 6th Ave and 16th Ave SW

When: October 9th, 10, and 11th

Effective October 9, 2006, three one-way streets in the Kutzky Neighborhood will convert to two-way traffic.

The purpose of the changes is to make the Kutzky Neighborhood less attractive to cut through traffic. The conversion will include removal and reversal of several signs, placement of additional signs and stop signs, and new signage as needed.

Weather permitting the signs will be changed and the traffic converted to two-way traffic beginning Monday, October 9th. It is expected to take approximately 3 days to make the full conversion. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to be alert and cautious during and after these changes.
