Public works sent the following update and asked that we distribute it:
We (Public Works) will be putting up Informational Signage Barricades at least a week in advance of the conversion (within the neighborhood adjacent to the streets), as well as publishing official Public Service Announcements, and notifying major users such as Lourdes HS and Mayo clinic. In addition, you can expect to see some preparation work to the signal at Center and 11th and other minor preparations made in advance of October 9th.

Public Works called to let us know that they plan to switch
Center St. W, 1st St. NW, and 2nd St. NW to two-way traffic
on Friday September 29th.
When this was done on 1st St. SW about a year ago, it was done in the morning, and it took only a few hours at most to change the signs around. Presumably, the same will happen this time.
So, please be alert that day and for a few weeks afterward!

the Kutzky Park Neighborhood Association
