Nationally over 28 million people are expected to participate in National Night Out activities this year on
Tuesday, August 1, to promote police-community partnerships, crime and drug prevention awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. Did you know that last year Rochester took Fifth Place nationally in National Night Out activities??
This year, rather than one large party, KPNA is encouraging smaller block parties. You can grill out, have a pot luck picnic, or just have root beer floats. The point is to
get to know your neighbors. It could be a great activity for kids to help with. Very helpful information, party ideas and prize-winners from previous years' NNO activities are available at
www.coptalklive.com Click on National Night Out.
If you DO plan a party, PLEASE REGISTER it with the Crime Prevention Unit either at the above website or by calling 281-6056. You could help Rochester be #1 in NNO activities this year!
