National Neighborhood Night Out summeryIt was a warm and blustery Tuesday evening. It started out small with a few organizers arranging the tables, fetching donated food, starting the grills, and putting on the tunes. Before we new it, people were coming by foot, car, and peddle. On the menu was delicious hotdogs, large bowls of salad, and gigantic frosted cookies, and that was only what was donated by our generous neighborhood businesses. Besides the donated food, we had a plethora of dips, chips, salads, and scrumptious deserts that our openhanded residents brought to share. There were lots of activities going on for the enjoyment of all but most importantly, good conversation with old friends and a few new ones.
Just wanted to give a big thanks to the people who help organize this event, especially the Mulvihills. Also, we as a neighborhood should express our thanks and appreciation to
ABC Zone, Ace Hardware, Hallmark, House of the Crafty Mouse, Hyvee, Krispy Kreme, Olive Garden, Perkins, and Virgils for there generous contributions to our neighborhood. If you visit these establishments, please thank them.
