First Phase in Traffic Calming Plan Slated for Council Action

On Wednesday, July 6th, the City Council will be taking action on a proposed two-way traffic plan for 1st Street SW. The plan is a one-year trial, meaning, at the end of the trial, the results of the study will be reviewed, and if favorable to calming traffic as predicted, two-way traffic will be implemented throughout the neighborhood. If not favorable, traffic will return to one-way.

In accordance with current city statues, this item will go before the City Council as a Consent Agenda item; meaning this is not a public hearing. However, as always, you may contact your City Council representative, Marcia Marcoux, at any time, as well as the KPNA.

This is the first recommendation of the Imagine Kutzky Vision Plan to receive City Council Action. We welcome you to study the comprehensive traffic-calming plan, and as always, contact us with thoughts and ideas.
